What we believe...

Life isn't always easy. We walk through life often scarred from the past, nervous about the future, and depending on our own best efforts to make everything work.

For us at Bristo we believe that God changes lives. God's forgiveness transforms us and God's power can fill us so that we can live this 'life to the full' that Jesus spoke about.

We believe that Jesus is alive, knows us each by name and wants to get to know us again, as strange as that may sound to some people.

Our past doesn't define our future. And nothing we've done or said can stop God from loving us. 'This is how we know what love is' - That Jesus loves us so much he laid down his life for us.

Bristo Memorial Church has been in Craigmillar since 1940s. We are a church affiliated to the Church of Scotland.

We believe that our worship includes everything we do towards God - praising, praying, serving, giving, witnessing, loving one another and much more.
We have one main meeting for worship each Sunday at 11am when classes are available for pre-school and primary school age children.   The service is relayed by video to a creche facility where parents can take very young children.

Our praise is mainly contemporary using modern scripture songs but we keep a place for traditional hymns and psalms which reflect the diversity of Christian music over the years and proclaim in song what we believe about God. Musical accompaniment is provided by our music group.
